As we have had to deal with the current changes in our lives, Jolie and I find ourselves having to make personal and difficult decisions as to the way The Pretty Hideaway (Formally, Pretty Simple Skin Solutions) operates.
It is with a heavy heart but also careful consideration and evaluation that we have decided not to reopen for services. There is continually changing data and many unanswered questions about COVID19. As a client receiving a facial you are obviously unable to wear a mask. The inevitable close proximity that surrounds the services we provide has lead us to the decision that for an indefinite amount of time we can no longer offer in-house services and have left Studio 51. This decision is largely in part to the fact that both Jolie and I have children with immune deficiency issues. As some of you are aware, I myself have some health issues that put me at a higher risk.
We sincerely thank you for your loyalty and friendship, and appreciate your business so very much over the years. We will miss seeing your faces!
So where do we go from here?
Navigating the beauty industry regarding treatments and products can be somewhat daunting. There are literally thousands of items to choose from! To help in this, The Pretty Hideaway is slowing transitioning over to an online store that offers virtual consultations and education. We will ship directly to you or deliver locally. Using our 30 plus years of experience, we will offer education for the general public regarding skincare and beauty as well as go back to teaching professionals in our industry.
Our store is up and running and we have facial products you can use at home to do mini treatments for self care. Please do not hesitate to call us for any reason or if you need help picking out the right products for you. Customer service and client satisfaction are of the utmost importance to the Pretty Hideaway. We do everything we can to ensure our clients are happy and satisfied. We will always allow you to return any product even if it has been opened as long as there is at least half a jar/container left.
Reasons for a return should be; some sort of allergic reaction to the product. However, in most cases we will take a product back even if a client dislikes the way it feels or how it smells. That type of return should be done within the first week of using the product.
Please keep in mind when it comes to acne you really need to use a product for several months before we can determine if it is effective. We will not return a product if your skin isn't perfectly clear from using it. Sometimes we may have to try several products to find the right one that works for your skin. Some of the manufacturers we purchase from will reimburse us for returned product and some will not. Regardless we will always give you credit (not a cash refund) or switch the product out for a different one.
Thank you for your cooperation and please remember the lines of communication are always open with us. We encourage our clients to talk to us about what is working and what is not so that we can determine the best course of action to take regarding future treatments and products.
